Two Sydney doctors, Sanjay Adusumilli and Siraj Sira, volunteer to work in Gaza’s Al-Aqsa hospital. This is the story of their two-week stint in what Siraj aptly describes as hell on earth. It means leaving their own families behind, but they volunteer because someone has to do it.
Confronting is the only word to describe it. They experience frightful scenes of carnage including the deaths of many children. But they also bear witness to the indomitable spirit, resilience and generosity of many people. There are many questions here that no one wants to answer: how can this happen? How can this be allowed to happen? What will it take to stop it? Produced in conjunction with Global Medical Foundation Australia.
Warning: This film contains distressing images—though if you want to speak intelligently about what is happening in Gaza, you need to see it.
