Stranded has been commissioned by the 2011 Adelaide Film Festival and produced by Scarlett Pictures with the kind support of AFTRS, Panavision Australia and Definition Films.

DIRECTOR PROFILE: Warwick Thornton is best known for his debut feature Samson & Delilah, which won the Camera d'Or at Cannes in 2009 after premiering at BAFF. Prior to that, Warwick had been making films for twenty years since starting as a trainee at CAAMA in Alice Springs as a teenager. He graduated from AFTRS in 1997. His short films include Nana (Best Short Film, Berlinale 2008), CAAMA Radio-inspired Green Bush (Best Short Film Panorama, Berlinale 2005, Dendy Awards winner 2005), Mimi (2002) and Payback (1996). He has also shot and directed many documentaries, most recently the three-hour series Art+Soul. He has an extensive body of work as a cinematographer, including Beck Cole's debut feature Here I Am.
